The fight against pollution: it starts with each of us

Caring for waste means caring for life. In Brazil, more than 95,000 deaths a year are linked to air pollution, and 40% of our waste is still improperly disposed of. These figures show that the fight against pollution cannot wait, and that it starts with every choice we make in our daily lives.

At Grupo LARA, we work to change this reality: environmentally sound waste disposal, leachate treatment to protect rivers and groundwater, and biogas capture to significantly reduce pollutant emissions. Every ton treated is one step further from pollution and one step closer to a cleaner future.

But this change is a collective effort. Generating less waste, sorting recyclables correctly, disposing of batteries and electronics at proper drop-off points, and never littering are simple actions that, taken together, make all the difference. Small actions lead to big changes, and you are part of this story too.
